Starfish Pins- Symbolize How a Small Act of Kindness Can make a Huge Difference

Starfish pins were inspired by a story I read, published  by “Loren Eiseley” in 1969 in the “Unexpected Universe”.  The “Starfish Story,” also know as the “Star Thrower” is   part of a 16-page essay of the same name by Loren Eiseley (1907–1977).  The Star Thrower is also the title of a 1978 anthology of Eiseley’s works (including the essay), which he completed shortly before his death.  The story is about how a small act of kindness can make a huge difference!!!  Because the story  has significant importance we have made book marks with the story that can be customized with your logo and purchased along with the pins. Lighthouse Pins-A Beacon of Light & Hope

When making our lighthouse pins, we realized that the history of the Lighthouse was of impotance.  Wikopedia has a detailed description of its history, a portion of  which reads “Before the development of clearly defined ports, mariners were guided by fires built on hilltops. Since raising the fire would improve the visibility, placing the fire on a platform became a practice that led to the development of the lighthouse. In antiquity, the lighthouse functioned more as an entrance marker to ports than as a warning signal for reefs and promontories. To read the full history visit History of lighthouses – Wikipedia.

In addition and also of importance is the concept that the Lighthouse offers a Beacon of Hope. Our Hope Lighthouse is a replica of a lighthouse made to support cancer victims, giving them HOPE.  To learn about the story of the Hope Lighthouse pin visit, Hope Light House Pin ($4.00 – $6.00) – Pins By Frank
